JLT's Third SUNSTORM Album Pays Tribute to his 80's Vocal Sessions
While the first two albums' basic inspiration came from the Melodic Rock catalogue of songs that Turner penned for himself or other artists of the genre, for this third album, Frontiers and JLT decided to look at Turner's numerous vocal sessions he did in the 80's as a background vocalist for other artists. "Rescue You" Retrospective in latest issue of Fireworks Magazine
The brand new issue of Fireworks is out and writer James Gaden did an excellent retrospective article about JLT's first solo album, "Rescue You." The interview features some insight into the music business in the mid-80s as well as the creative process. It's available in the UK or online. Russian Rock Supergroup Releases New CD with JLT as Guest Vocalist
Pushking, a band that, according to the Sunday Mercury, has 15 albums and sells out gigs wherever they play, enlisted Joe to sing on their new CD, "The World As We Love It." Joe appears on a Michael Schenker project called "By Invitation Only," a compilation featuring many guests including Slash, Sebastian Bach, Jeff Scott Soto, Tommy Shaw, and others, to be released June 14. More information at: www.rbaraki.com.
Joe joins Sting and other musicians, film and television stars for Russia's national New Year's Eve broadcast
Russia's most popular New Year's Eve television broadcast is Channel One's "Olivier" and JLT was a part of the show on New Year's Eve and Russian Christmas. The word "Olivier," in Russian culture, is the name of the popular salad dish traditionally served on New Years Eve. The television program itself is reportedly a "salad" mix of interviews and entertainment. Although Joe did not perform at the show's taping, he was interviewed. "Olivier" is recorded a few days before New Year's Eve.
Joe summoned to appear on "Fashion Verdict" TV Show
In December 2010, JLT appeared as a member of the "jury" on "Fashion Verdict," one of the most widely viewed daytime television shows with one of the largest audience of women viewers in Russia. JLT Joined School of Rock As Guest Performer/Professor: USA Today and Soundpress Articles
Students attending the SCHOOL OF ROCK programs in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania had an opportunity to share a studio and stage with Joe when he served as guest professor and performer with the All-Stars at three locations in June: Downington PA, Bergen County, NJ and New York City. Rock Candy Records Reissues Fandango's fourth and final album "Cadillac."
This album, from the USA/East Coast based eclectic rock unit, Fandango, features several songs co-written and sung by Joe Lynn Turner. It's a record on which the group takes flight as a mature and fully confident melodic hard rock band in the finest late seventies tradition.
